Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Looking at both existing projects and new projects that are coming up – can be 2-6 projects at a time
  • Thoroughly understanding our scope of work and responsibilities
  • Reviewing all drawings, so they can familiarize themselves with the site
  • Making sure foreman’s work sheets are submitting daily-notes being done
  • Getting sign off or approval from the GC for any ‘extras’, making sure information is passed on for invoicing
  • Site inspections/reports
  • Issue change orders, notify estimator and accounting for any changes
  • Make sure Foreman are doing Tool Box Talks on weekly basis
  • Following through from start to finish for sub trades
  • Monitor/Coordinate with Sub Trades
  • Help operations with schedule
  • Job Costing for extra work

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Excel and Word
  • Education in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering
  • Engineering background would be considered and asset
  • Solid understanding of landscape construction principles
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Extremely well organized
  • G license
